Generate Your First Rota
Click "Generate Rota" to see RotaMate's scheduling engine in action. You'll get a health score and analysis instantly.
Add Your Own Data
Once you're ready, add your real staff, shifts and homes. You can remove the demo data at any time.
Sign In
Enter your email address and password on the login page. Forgot your password? Use the "Forgot your password?" link to reset it.
Complete Your Profile
After your first login, go to your profile page and add your name and phone number.
Navigate the Dashboard
Use the sidebar to access different sections of the platform:
- Dashboard — Overview
- Rota Cycles — Scheduling
- Staff — Team management
- Homes — Locations
Rota Cycles
A rota cycle is a scheduling period (weekly, fortnightly, or monthly). Each cycle contains shifts that need to be filled with staff members.
Shift Generation
The system automatically generates shift assignments based on staff availability, certifications, experience levels, and hour limits.
Approval Workflow
Once a rota is generated, it enters "submitted" status. A manager can then approve or reject it. Approved rotas become active.
Availability
Staff members can submit their availability for upcoming periods. The rostering system uses this information when generating assignments.
Every time you generate a rota, RotaMate automatically analyses it and shows you what needs attention.

Health Score
A score from 0-100 showing overall rota quality. Green (80+) means you're good to go.

Super Admin
Developer role. Full system access — manages all tenants, billing, users, staff, homes and settings. Cannot be created via self-signup.
Platform Admin
Operates the entire platform. Full access to the admin panel and platform-wide management.
Group Admin
Runs a care provider (service provider). Creates homes, manages staff, generates and approves rotas for their group.
Home Manager
Manages a specific care home. Approves rotas and manages operations for that home only.
Staff
Care workers. View their assigned shifts, submit availability and manage their profile.
Trial
A new free-trial user running a group-admin demo workspace. Full rota experience for 7 days, then becomes read-only. No admin panel access.
When your 7-day trial ends, your account becomes read-only. Upgrade to keep full access.

Go to /upgrade to choose a plan and pay securely with Stripe.
Click "Forgot your password?" on the login page and enter your email. We'll send you a link that lets you set a new password. The link expires after an hour.

Go to your profile page (click your name in the top-right corner and select "Profile"). Under "Update Password" enter your current and new password, then click Save.

Your account becomes read-only. You can still log in and view your data, but you can't create or edit anything. Upgrade anytime to regain full access — your data is preserved.
Group admins and home managers can approve rotas. Staff members can view proposed rotas but cannot approve them.
